Narrative images: Stop skinheading

This image was documented as the Swedish writer Astrid Anna Emilia Lindgren (1907-2002), author of e.g. "Pippi Longstocking", "Karlsson-on-the-Roof", "Six Bullerby Children", "Ronia the Robber's Daughter", walked through Stockholm and a young man approached her and said:
- "Please allow me to greet you and shake your hand. I've read all of your books, and I really like them."
- "Are you one of those skinheads?"
"Yes."
- "Then I think you should stop skinheading."
The boy was abashed. Astrid patted his cheek gently.
- "I like you, laddie, but I really think you should stop skinheading." (via)

    1. Language certainly was her tool. Her spontaneous creation of a new verb is really hilarious. Thanks, Derek!

  2. Great lady she was. Reminds me of something Billy Willder once said.
